Lambley Village Women’s Institute was founded in 1953 so we have been part of village life for some time. We are a fairly traditional Women's Institute with progressive ideas and we love to get involved in the village activities whether that is the Lambley Village fun day, the lambley village show or the Christmas light switch on. We can always be relied on to provide homemade cake!
In normal times we have a speaker at most of our meetings. We have covered a wide variety of topics from gin making to guide dog puppy walking, recycling and life on a cruise ship
We have a very clever group of “crafty girls” who decorate the bus shelter opposite the Lambley Village Kitchen with a theme throughout the year which has generated quite a following and has been much appreciated during the past year. It raises a smile for us and the village
Although we are a village WI you don’t have to live in the village to come along and most of our members actually don’t. Everyone is welcomed although it would be lovely for a few more village ladies to join us
The WI is whatever you want it to be and you really don’t need to be an expert baker or a crafting queen. Just come along and meet us
Throughout June we are doing the Wildlife Trusts 30 days wild and posting a photo each day on Twitter LambleyWI
Our meetings are held on the second Monday of the month at 7.30 at the Lambley Village Hall
