What the locals say

We have just had a long weekend at the cottage and it was perfect. Very cosy and homely with everything you need. Perfect for the dog. Great location and with off road parking. If you are looking for dog friendly accommodation in this area this ticks all the boxes. Highly recommended and we would certainly stay there again if we are in the area

We had a lovely stay in this cosy, historic cottage which is well situated for trips to Sherwood and Nottingham (for two Robin Hood fans) and other parks and places around about. We had two children and two dogs with us and so the wifi and garden were very welcome. We had been really grateful to the owner for her help with the booking and especially for allowing us to bring both dogs. We have already recommended this cottage to friends.

This is a lovely cosy cottage, lots of character and everything you need. We had an emergency need for a needle and thread, yep found it! Everything was lovely, and a very nice country feel. Kitchen really well equipped. Immaculately clean and quiet. Can’t wait to visit again. Great pub for a meal just up the road. Friendly and good menu.

I thought that Dickman’s Cottage is the most wonderful place! Apart from the fact that it has so much historical interest, the owners have presented it so beautifully and have thought of everything that a visitor could ever possibly need. We were so impressed (actually I didn’t really want to leave...) and can thoroughly recommend it without any reservations.
